Prince William the Geographer - The Easier Course?
In an article in yesterday’s Washington Post about Kate Middleton, the purported girlfriend of Prince William, the authors report her efforts to keep the prince in school -
When William was considering dropping out, Kate influenced him to switch to a less demanding course of study — geography — and remain in school, according to Robert Jobson, author of a biography called “William’s Princess.”
It’s nice to know geography is so easy. Tell that to all the people who dislike the subject or are in the middle of working toward a degree in it. The Post could have worded this differently to convey that geography was perhaps less demanding to Prince William. Clearly, different subject are more or less demanding to different people. One could argue geography knowledge is essential for those in royalty and other public offices. He reportedly also studied biology and the history of art. Perhaps the prince can become a cartographer or ecosystems expert.
