“Know where you are … when you don’t know where you are. Click and get a gps [sic] receiver now. Click to see our closeout specials on GPS systems, don’t get lost.”

And later in the e-mail, the ever-useful “Tips to help lower your gas costs.”

Of course the landing page is a search results page on a site unknown, with no special deals. There is a copied Wikipedia entry about vehicle tracking systems plus some sponsored links and search results for “GPS Vehicle Tracking.”

It’s nice to see spam about something other than transforming body parts or improving finances. I guess we know GPS is mainstream when spammers use it. But it’s tough to see how the spammers will get much out of this topic.
